Okay, I think a good number of us have complaints about online dating (since we as human beings love to complain in general, it’s kind of what we do)…and I am not the exception. So this guy messages me today after seeing a picture of me and decides to strike up a conversation. Or maybe not, because here’s how the "dialogue" went (and I use that term very, very loosely): Mr.Bachelor: "Hey you! How you? You’re very cute"Me: "You’re just adorable as well 
Such manly compliments, I know. How’s your day going so far?" Mr.Bachelor: "Not bad, working away. Had lunch. What do you do?"(Okay, so far so good, right? So I won’t be nitpicky here)Me: Well, I’m a dancer, a Mom, and am majoring in psychology. What about you?"Mr.Bachelor: "Haha cool. Meet for drinks?"Me: "Whoa, slow down, buddy! Tell me some more about yourself. I’m sure you’re an interesting guy ;)" Mr.Bachelor: "I find you very sexy and beautiful. We can get to know each other in person:)" Okay, here’s where I’m going to come across as a nitpicky nitpicking nitpicker to some of you (probably individuals who internet with women in the same manner)….but I’m sure that many of you are thinking what I’m thinking. If not, I’ll translate what many of us ladies hear from gentlemen such as the aforementioned individual: "I don’t really want to get to know you, silly! But I am horny and am hoping that some flattering words will be enough to make you *think* I do, so you’ll meet me for drinks in one hour and we can do the boom boom". See, the sad thing is: it works, otherwise people wouldn’t do this. And maybe some of us are in the mood for casual sex and don’t really give two dollops of doo doo what our prospective sex partner’s favorite color is or even what his name is. To each their own, I say! The problem is though is that something personal is being lost in dating. It’s the side-effect of our hookup culture, and I feel comfortable in saying that many of us miss that and want more of a meaningful connection. Amiright? I know, I know…you’re reading this on an adult site, lol. I appear to be ridiculously ironic, but do profess to have an incredible ability to compartmentalize and have fun webcamming as well.
